 Curious about Astrology?

At Stella Cura Wellness Consulting (formerly Natural Rhythms Consulting) the goal is to educate the curious about star wisdom found in the ancient system of Astrology.

In this aesthetic and poetic system, there is nuance and mystery;  layered multidimensionality; ancient wisdom, and  contemporary application.

Multivalent, it offers a blueprint and a language. Like parts of an intricate timepiece, the planets, signs, houses, and aspects synchronize development, awareness and growth. Deeply transformative, Astrology is much more than Sun signs.

"Nevertheless, it moves."

About Elizabeth Rozan

Elizabeth Rozan head shot

I have been exploring psychospiritual development since 1968. Attending to and aligning with the energy of the cosmos is my passion.  From the monthly Moon cycles to the vibrational energy of the transpersonal planets, the celestial movement works to encourage development. This is the stella cura of wellness.

Processing events, exploring areas of joy and stress, strategizing application of effort to reach goals, or navigating periods of transformation are examples of developmental crossroads where insight from a horoscopic map can be beneficial.

Blending tradition with the unconventional,  I hold academic degrees in Psychology, Writing and Interdisciplinary Studies, and full certification from the Professional Astrologers Alliance-National Council for Geocosmic Research  (CA, PAA-NCGR), the International Society of Astrological Research (CAPISAR), and Church of Light (Teacher of Hermetics). Ongoing professional development in the field, and in complementary areas beyond contemporize my work.  Examples include Tarot, Depth Psychology,

Shamanic Studies, Metaphysics, NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model), and non-clinical individual, ancestral, and collective trauma informed practices.

Why Astrology?

Astrology reveals a sacred trust mapped out in the horoscope.  It provides a tool for navigating the challenges and joys inherent in the life process. The world needs individuated, interdependent, whole humans, able to step forward in courage, integrity and strength.  Astrology helps to bring that Self forward.  It goes a long way towards helping to integrate experience to round out the individuation process involved in being, becoming, and belonging.

Combining Astrology with Tarot and Depth Psychology brings awareness of cycles, of the intuitive present, and of deep clarifying exploration.

Relating to the Planets
Navigating the world of Astrology begins with developing a relationship to the planets. The planets are multivalent, with layers of entry points and meaning. In each chart, the planets form a mandala with particular emphasis.  Each planet represents a symbolic visitation from the Upper, Middle, and Under worlds. Planets have associative pairings, and positions of best expression. Their travel along the zodiacal belt orbiting the Sun from the geocentric perspective, and where they appear in each mandala can be understood in daily, monthly, or yearly movements. Where are they natally?  Where are they now?

The New Moon
One way to develop the relationship with the planets is to study the New Moon cycle, updated monthly. At the New Moon, there is a shift in energy, but there is an absence of light. Gradually, the Moon fills out, and more is revealed. as the dynamics between all the planets play out. Key astrological principles are demonstrated by this chart: the beginning of something has significance, and what happens in the sky influences what happens on Earth.

The Sun Tarot card

The Sun, representing the fire of creativity, is the Invincible Spirit.  A piece of the Sun is held within each person, thereby interweaving vitality with purpose. The great universal wonder of the Sun comes in small doses, distributed in powerful increments as it travels the analemma over the course of a year.

NEW MOON 4.17.26.jpg
The Moon 18 Tarot card

The Moon is the receiver of Spirit and through the Soul elements of the mind and emotions, reflects a response to the world through her silver light. The Moon delights in shape-shifting, and does so through repetitive ebb and flow, from night to day, and from New Moon to New Moon in eight predictable and visible phases over the course of the month.

Sabian Symbol for this New Moon at 27 Aries 28:

A crowd applauds a person who shattered a dear illusion.

At this New Moon, the intense cluster of planets continues in the sign of Aries. This energy (I vs. we) is seeking a balance of opposites.  Relational challenges are many, requiring resilience, groundedness, stability.  Venus lends some support, as Uranus holds on till the bitter end, then is blown like the North Wind into the sign of Gemini, creating a big sigh of curiosity.  What just happened? might be the thought pattern.  Take the time to breathe and integrate the last 7 years.  What new awareness has surfaced on your Fool's Journey?

Planetary Positions During this New Moon
The Sun and Moon stand at 27 Aries 28.; the Sun will enter Taurus on April 19.

Mars is at 5 Aries 57, the warrior, ready for action.

Jupiter is at 17 Cancer 13, squaring the Aries cluster. (headaches, stomachaches?)
Saturn is at 7 Aries 34, moving forward through July.

Chiron is at 26 Aries 58 moving forward to enter Taurus on June, 19, 2026 at 5:20 PM.
Uranus at 29 Taurus 32, and will reenter Gemini on April 26.
Neptune is now at 2 Aries 25.
Pluto is at 5 Aquarius 58, turning Rx on May 6.

ECLIPSE ENERGIES

Another way to develop a relationship with the plantets is to attune to the eclipse energies. Each year there are two eclipse seasons, with two and sometimes three eclipses at two week intervals in each season.  Eclipses involve the relationship between Sun, Moon, Nodal Axis, and Earth.  Solar Eclipses occur at New Moon, and suggest new beginnings. The Sun and Moon are conjunct and positioned so that the Sun is eclipsed (blocked) by the Moon.  The Moon overpowers the Sun. Emotion supersedes logic.  and when visible, an eerie shadow of small crescents can be seen on the Earth's surface as the Moon passes. Lunar Eclipses occur at Full Moon, and suggest endings. With the Sun and Moon in opposition, the Earth slips between them, casting a shadow on (blocking or eclipsing) the Moon.

The intensity of the eclipse season flows over a six-week period:  2 weeks prior to the eclipse, there is a revving up of energy. It reaches a peak that shakes things up for about 2 weeks. Then, there is  a winding down for 2 weeks, until the next lunation.

Exactitude occurs on the date listed, but each eclipse can have a 3-6 month effect, depending on proximity of the Sun and Moon to natal and prenatal positions, as well as where the eclipse occurs in the world.  While the 2025 eclipse seasons are past, these degrees will hold vibrational sensitivity for some time.
